Clango, Inc. is seeking an Senior Oracle Identity Engineer to participate in and help manage a multifaceted Cybersecurity team. Duties will consist of scoping and leading projects for the installation, configuration, upgrade, and patching of Oracle identity and Access Management products, including OUD/OVD, OIM, and OAM, as well as supporting technologies. The candidate will also participate in general maintenance and support activities such as performance monitoring/tuning and troubleshooting of issues that arise in Oracle identity environments. Candidates will be expected to take on all aspects of a project lead engineer, including the mentoring, tasking, and evaluation of junior team members. Additional project duties include gathering, defining and refining of client requirements, solution design, creation of technical documentation, and development of customized security components.

The position may be based either our Arlington, VA, or Edina, MN office. However, the ideal candidate will work collaboratively with a distributed team and will be expected to travel when needed (50% or more).

Primary Responsibilities

The candidate will support ongoing Oracle Identity and Access Management (IAM) Projects as a senior engineer and team lead. Primary responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

  • Work directly with clients to develop and refine requirements for new installs, upgrades, re-implementations, and feature enhancements
  • Lead the analysis and design of IAM solutions featuring Oracle and related technologies
  • Prioritize and execute on tasks required for solution delivery on new installations, upgrades, feature enhancements, re-implementations, and at-risk projects
  • Understand and explain the concepts central to IAM and relevant to enterprise implementations including identity, identity lifecycle, identity governance, access, authorization, directory, and entitlements.
  • Work directly with clients and sales engineers to scope and level projects, perform functional analysis, identify assumptions, and assist in the creation of proposals
  • Assist in the design and production of technical documentation, including product deployment and configuration documents
  • Provide advanced troubleshooting support for enterprise clients

Secondary Responsibilities

  • Staying up-to-date on current security trends and practices
  • Stay up-to-date on changes, patches, CVEs and new offerings in the Oracle IAM suite
  • Train in multiple Clango cybersecurity product offerings
  • Work toward security certifications

Required Competencies

  • 5 to 10 years of specific experience in Oracle Identity and Access Management (IAM) Projects
  • Extensive knowledge of the Identity and Access Management Domain
  • Extensive knowledge of Authentication and authorization concepts
  • Extensive knowledge of Single sign-on Concepts
  • Well versed in Identity Federation Concepts
  • Experience with LDAP and various directory servers in general
  • Strong understanding of computer networks and domains
  • Exceptional analysis skills with the ability to transform the needs of business users into functional/technical requirements
  • Extensive working experience in all the phases of the Software Development life cycle in various roles as Sr Team Lead, Module Lead, Sr
  • Software Engineer, Software Engineer
  • Experience in various Web Servers and Application Servers such as Apache/OHS/IIS/Weblogic/Websphere/JBoss/Jetty/Tomcat
  • Excellent team work skills
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills
  • Must be flexible with the ability to work independently on various technical activities and be able manage one’s time between multiple projects and activities (multi-tasking capabilities)

Desired Skills

  • Experience with multiple security products such as Oracle, RSA, ForgeRock and CyberArk
  • Experience in system administration tasks for Windows and Linux
  • A Sound background of Object Oriented Technology using C++ and/or Java on various platforms
  • Experience with one or more Integrated Development Environments (IDE)
  • Experience with scripting languages such as Python, Perl, Ruby, Groovy or PowerShell
  • Experience with HTML, CSS, JavaScript and JavaScript Frameworks such as JQuery
  • Experience with relational databases and the ability to write complex SQL statements
  • Experience working with AJAX, XML and JSON
  • Experience with SOAP and REST Web services
  • Experience with virtualized environments such as VMware or VirtualBox
  • Experience with various collaboration and source control management tools
  • Exposure to Mobile Computing


  • A BS Degree, preferably in Computer Science, MIS, Mathematics, or Engineering
  • Training or additional technical certifications a plus
